About the American Visionary Art Museum and the Jim Rouse Visionary Center

The American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) is America's official national
museum for the best in intuitive self-taught artistry. CNN News has
called AVAM "one of the most fantastic museums anywhere in America."
Travel Holiday Magazine ranks AVAM #4 on its list of the "Top 25 U.S.
Museums." AVAM's founding mission is dedicated to exploring all forms
of creative self-reliance that bless and evolve human life.

Like AVAM, Jim Rouse believed in the power of vision, urging us all to
"look at the best that could be, then figure out how to get there."
AVAM's new expansion, the Jim Rouse Visionary Center (JRVC), will
explore powerful acts of creative social vision that have transformed
lives and communities around our world and establish a new wonderland to
inspire "the visionary child" experience for our youth.

Doubling AVAM's existing footprint, the JRVC will house Visionary
Village, a community of extraordinary handmade homes and America's most
remarkable backyard visionary creations; classroom space where visitors
can get hands-on, personal creative experience; and the Center for
Visionary Thought (CVT), a pro-action urban forum featuring global best
practices in transforming our cities, providing lasting testimony to Jim
Rouse's wisdom, vision, and accomplishment.

About Frida

Frida tells the true story of Frida Kahlo and her husband Diego Rivera,
the larger-than-life painters who became the most acclaimed artists in
Mexican history, and whose tempestuous love affair, landmark journeys to
America and outrageous personalities made them legendary. Featured
players include Salma ("Dogma") Hayek as Frida, Alfred ("Chocolat")
Molina as Diego, Antonio ("Spy Kids") Banderas as artist David
Sisqueros, Edward ("Red Dragon") Norton as Nelson Rockefeller and Ashley
("High Crimes") Judd as photographer Tina Modotti. Julie Taymor helms
the drama, marking her first since completing "Titus" in 1999.

Frida will open in Baltimore on Friday, November 8th exclusively at the
Charles Theatre.
